It has been an eternity since I have been able to post on here but as there is an excuse for many things in life, this one is legitimate! June 3rd, me and Kyle got married and it went off without a glitch! Kyle (and his groomsmen) moved into our apartment a week before the wedding that way when we got back from the honeymoon we would be able to just settle in and start life as man and wife. Which turned our perfectly because they needed a place to stay anyways. The week before the wedding was filled with groomsmen, bridesmaids, family, and lots of laughter. Come Friday, June 3rd though we were both ready to get married and start our life together.
Our wedding was held at The Wright House in Mesa, Arizona and it could have not been a more gorgeous day. Arizona summers have a tendency of being dreadful, and this year, summer started early, so we were nervous as to how hot our wedding day was going to be. Since our wedding and reception were both held outside this was a huge fear of ours. Thankfully the Lord blessed us with a beautiful wedding day that stayed under 100º. Indie Image did our photos which we could not be happier about. They captured every part of that day that we wanted to remember. With all of our closest friends and families watching we said our vows, our i do's, and became one...and it was perfect.
My brother-in-law Toby, decided to bless us with a wedding video as his gift to us. He is just started out in filming and he did an amazing job. It is amazing how much you miss when you are the bride and groom until you actually see it as a guest saw it, and then it becomes real to you. If you are need of any video production you should check him out at Adlai Film. Here is the wedding video that he created for us.
For our honeymoon we went to Ochos Rios, Jamaica for 6 days. It was amazing! It rained the first four days but we were so happy because it was a chance to sit, enjoy, and ponder, without feeling bad that we were not snorkeling or swimming! We climbed up the famous Dunn's River Falls which was by far the coolest thing I have ever done! Luckily the sun came out the last two days which was the perfect way to end our honeymoon!
However, as sad as we are to have to come back down to reality we could not be happier to start life as one. It is amazing how the Lord prepares you to be a wife and to start your life with your husband. I feel so blessed to be so young and to have found the one that the Lord meant for me. I feel so blessed to be supported by an incredible family who has built me with a foundation to be ready for the hardships and laughters of marriage.
I promise you a new blog post on dessert soon! My husband has inspired me to do something with coconut and chocolate! So now just to create something =)
